feel that the approach used by most is wrong or inefficient (trying to model the brain, neurons, synapses, etc.). The approach that I think works more efficiently is trying to model human behavior. You don’t have to know exactly how the brain works and all that stuff. I’ve invented my own models of human behavior by asking myself questions like, “Why do I personally feel this way?” or “How do I understand this concept?” and so forth. I have come to the conclusion that all emotions are linked to past memories and are related to sensory perception and survival. Memories seem to contain all the senses in one. Understanding things is just applying past memories to concepts. Emotions are mere responses to our survival needs conditioned by our past experiences. You can see that every negative emotion can be traced back to having no need to survive. This leads me to believe that happiness is a natural human condition. Aside from physical pain, anger, fear, and sadness being the top three negative feelings, it appears that every non-physical negative emotion is some form or variation of anger, fear, or sadness. But it seems that anger, fear, and sadness are also caused by memories of physical pain (attributed to very early negative childhood experiences). So any negative feeling is caused by memories of physical pain or no need to survive, that’s my hypothesis. An example of this is crying. As babies, people cry when they are in pain, want food, or have other survival needs. As they grow up, some people still resort to breaking down and crying when they don’t get what they want, just like a baby. This sad feeling is still attributed to early negative childhood experiences. You can clearly see that there is no such thing as free will and how you can easily manipulate/influence/control human behavior. I can test my models empirically with humanoid AIs programmed to affect human behavior in a certain way, appear human-like etc… it would really work if my models are correct.
